Posted on Jul 6, 2013 in News, Vinha

We are excited to announce that after over a year of reproductive work Vinha is now confirmed well in foal to Saphiro! It’s been a long haul and we will wait with baited breath for the arrival of this very special Lusitano. Spring can’t come soon enough and this golden girl or boy is expected in April of 2014. Vinha is the only mare we bred this year as we continue to scale back on our breeding to focus more on our client services and own performance horses.

What our clients are saying…

Posted on Jul 7, 2012 in About Us, News, Training

My foals have a leg-up on their peers as I market them for sale, and I have peace of mind knowing they receive the best in care…

Lauren visits with one of her horses

“Nothing is more important than a good foundation. As a first-time breeder with a busy life, I wanted my foals to have the best start, but couldn’t dedicate the time to doing it myself. Placing my three foals with Jenni Johnson at JC Andalusians was the best decision I could have made for them. Through Jenni’s careful ministrations, they have flourished into well-educated and tractable young horses.

JC Armando’s first time being ridden off the farm with others! Nothing like a crazy warm-up arena to test the brain of a young baby horse. Add to that this young lad was a stallion and only recently gelded… well, we think Mando passed the test!

It was a great first day for us at the Virginia Summer Dressage show at Commonwealth Park in Culpeper, VA. We showed Espritu in the DSHB division where he won champion stallion, champion mature horse, and reserve grand champion! This qualifies him to show in-hand at Devon later this year.

Jenni and JC Viva! Elk Creek CDE

Elk Creek DAY 1

Despite a short break of gait in dressage, we took first place! It’s a great setup for the next two phases, and the same placing we had two weeks ago in Kentucky. There’s definitely something about Viva that the judges like. In fact, in all four of the CDEs she’s competed in she has yet to be bested in the dressage arena.
