JC Malachias

“Malachi” is a slowly greying buckskin colt by Saphiro out of our lovely maiden mare JC Mariana. We are so pleased with this combination and Malachi is a beautiful blend of these bloodlines. Heterozygous grey and carrier of chestnut and cream, Malachi has more to bring to the table as a stallion prospect than unusual color genetics. Strong conformation and 3 incredibly expressive gaits, his overstride at the walk, big showy trot and rocking canter are already apparent at such a young age. Malachi’s sire is 15.3 and and dam is 16.0h. We expect him to mature in that height range with the bone and girth both his parents exhibit.

Malachi has been well handled since birth and is a curiously sweet and friendly colt. He will continue his daily handling and training in our raising program until sold and will be well beyond his years in life knowledge by the time he is ready to go to his new home. Available after weaning in September 2013 or as a package deal with his dam, he can be contracted now on a very flexible payment plan. $500 will be credited for castration in his first year should his new owner choose to geld (credit not included if sold as a discounted package with his dam). If not sold prior he will likely be gelded this fall or next spring as we do with all our colts that are for sale.
